REUNION COMMITTEE PLANNING MEETING
AUGUST 4, 2004>
MINUTES WERE TAKEN BY PAT DOTSON (MAISSE) IN LINDA KOSMIN (LANGFORD)’S ABSENCE
CLASSMATES in attendance:

E-MAILS RECEIVED FROM:
George Fetherman; Lois Addison; Linda Kosmin (Langford); Gail Glynn (Mackling); Miriam Brody (Kramnick); Esther Malter and Marilyn Kasinetz (Becker), both attending – e-mail votes were acknowleged and counted
as of 8/4/04, 118, including guests, have registered. We have collected $150.00 in ads – additional ads were promised by a few classmates
has enlisted Esther Malter and Ruth Barshinger (Kneller) to assist her in registering attendees; Pat Dotson (Maisse) volunteered her services if needed.
after some discussion, it was decided that ‘since the photographer’ taking any pictures (candid shots; posed shots; and class picture(s) ) is the “owner” of them; and since Richard Caplin (Arlene’s husband) has volunteered to be the photographer, he is willing to produce a CD of those pictures, for our Reunion Committee to send to all attending classmates, and to all classmates not in attendence, wishing to purchase them. He also volunteered to have 8x10 color prints of our Class Picture produced, which will be made available for purchase by our fellow classmates. Order forms will be available at the Reunion, cost including postage for one print $5.00; if more than one print is ordered, there would be some additional charge for extra postage and handling.
PHOTO/NAME TAGS AND GUEST TAGS
Lois Addison volunteered to produce the tags, and it was decided that they be inserted into a plastic holder with a safety pin. Some members were concerned that the ‘pin’ could damage the wearer’s garments, and it was decided to explore some other means of attachment (ribbons to be made available, or possibly have a ‘clip-on’ instead). The cost per tag should be $1.00. Each attendee will receive his/her tag at registration, as will any other of our guests.
report given by Arlene Leonard (Caplin): Lois will produce a master CD containing everything (except for ads) that will be used in printing our booklet (where to be determined). All bio’s and current photos must be sent in no later than SEPTEMBER 1, 2004 to Lois Addison, and all ads (camera ready with money) to be sent in no later than SEPTEMBER 10, 2004 to Sandra Berger.
AND E-MAILS RECEIVED
- WHO WILL HANDLE ORDERS TO BE DECIDED –
Marilyn Kasinetz (Becker), Program Coordinator is in the process of finalizing our program, which will appear in our Booklet.
Marlene Fisher (Gurst) will supply t-bears with helium baloons and old school pins attached – she will need help in setting-up.
Richard Cohen is hard at work designing his presentations – we are sure that they will be great.
Rosalind Miller (Silverstein), Music Director is busy picking 80 songs that will be available for our dancing and/or our listening pleasure – she will accept requests, and she will enter your selections during the Reunion.
SURPLUS MONIES RE-VISITED:
If any, what should we do with it? A questionnaire will be given to each Classmate, attending, asking them to decide if a 50th Reunion should be planned, and if so, where, when, type, and how much they would be willing to spend. Depending on the responses, either yes or no, we still expect to have a surplus (due in large part to the ads that we have, and will get), and choices of what kind of donation/grants will be listed. A tally will be made, and the results will be announced at the Reunion.
COMMENORATIVE CLASS CAKE:
Anita Beck (Gross) will have a cake, with a picture of our school on it, made; a cake cutting ceremony will be performed by all committee members participating, with a picture taken for the CD.
