Life After GHS>
---Sometime in September 1957 I left for the Air Force. In July 1960, my enlistment was
over.. Returning home, I crossed the country in three days. If I had to do it again, I'd take longer and see more then I did.
It was a good trip anyway. ---I took a job working at J.E Lonigan in Phila- They made valves and pipe fittings. >From there I went to Butteworths (rolls for paper mills), then to Honeywell for the next 13 Years. I worked on the same type valve from very small to very large. In 1971 I went to Yarway for the next 25 years ---I was married ion Dec23 , 1967 to my wife Susan. We have been married 37 years now and have two nice boys. We did have a good time on our honeymoon in the Poconos. It snowed twice while we were there. What a nice Christmas we had, going out and getting evergreen boughs from the woods to put over the fireplace. ---Our son Matt came along November 11, 1969. He is now 34 years old ,with three children 11,7, and 8 months. He lives in West Virginia and works as a project manager for the National Parks design center. Chris was born in 1976, graduated from Bloomsburg University. He is now in the Army, stationed in Colorado Springs, CO. ---I stopped working 1996 with a disability. I will be 65 by the time I meet you all. ---Hope to see all in Oct. and have a good time with everyone. |
